In October of 2017, I was joined by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Chicago Park District Superintendent Michael Kelly to officially open Bernard L. Stone Park! This new park, located at the southeast corner of Devon and McCormick, sits on the site of a former crumbling parking lot and now forms a vital link in the North Shore Channel Trail. The park features a landscaped path, native plantings that will attract local birds and insects, a passive green space, fitness stations and a (soon to come) stunning sculpture.

The beautiful design will be a tremendous benefit to the neighborhood, and I would like to thank everyone who was involved in making this happen. I hope you will all come out and enjoy the new park!
