On Monday, Alderman Debra Silverstein and the Chicago Department of Transportation presented to business owners the plans for the third phase of the Devon Avenue Streetscape. The third phase will redevelop Devon Avenue between Rockwell Avenue and Western Avenue.
Design is ongoing for Phase 3, with construction scheduled to start in the Summer of 2014. Phase 1 of the Streetscape project is scheduled to start either later this year or early in 2014 and will make Devon safer, brighter, greener and more beautiful. Highlights include brand new infrastructure, street furniture and decorations to identify the business district. Please take a moment to see how Alderman Silverstein, the Chicago Department of Transportation and the City of Chicago are improving our Ward’s cultural and commercial center.
