6254 N WESTERN

There will be a virtual public meeting on Thursday July 6, 2023 at 6:00 PM to discuss a proposed Special Use application for the Dunkin Donuts at 6254 N. Western Ave.

The applicant is seeking a Special Use with no changes to the underlying C2-2 zoning. The property owner is proposing an extension renovation of the property that will allow it to incorporate a single drive-through lane to operate in conjunction with the Dunkin Donuts restaurant. The new restaurant building will be one-story in height and contain approximately 1,562 sq. ft. of floor area. The proposed drive-through lane will be accessed from N. Western Ave. and wrap around the new building. After completing an order, drive-through customers will exit the property onto southbound N. Western Ave. The proposed site plan includes four (4) off-street parking spaces for customers to use. New landscaping and fencing will be installed around the perimeter of the property.

2701 W TOUHY

 

UPDATE – SEPT 2023

In response to a traffic study and concerns raised by the community, the architects and business owners of 2701 W TOUHY have modified their plans. The revised plans call for an only right turn in/out configuration on the W Touhy side of the property. Please see the image below for more details:

 

ORIGINAL PLANS – JUNE 2023

There will be a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 6:00 PM to discuss a proposed zoning change at 2701 W Touhy.

The applicant is seeking to change the zoning from B3-1 to B2-3. The property owner is proposing to take down the existing one-story retail building and build a new four-story residential building, measuring 56 feet and 5 inches in height. The proposed building will contain 39 residential apartment units and provide off-street parking for 45 cars. Thirty-nine bicycle parking spaces will also be located within the building’s first floor garage.

There will be a virtual public meeting on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 6:00 PM to discuss a proposed zoning change at 6801 N California.

The applicant—Mesivta High School—is seeking to change the zoning from B1-1 to B1-2. This would permit a new high school facility at the property. The existing retail building would be taken down. The proposed high school building would be three-stories in height and be supported by eight off-street parking spaces.
