On Monday evening, Alderman Silverstein was joined by Evergreen Real Estate Group and Perkins+Will for a fourth public meeting to discuss the new library and senior housing facility coming to the 50th Ward. Please click on the photo below to view the drafts of the site design for the new building:

New 50th Ward Library

The new building will feature a state-of-the-art library on the ground floor, topped by three stories of senior housing and amenities. The development will include 44 one-bedroom units available to low-income senior citizens. Building residents and library patrons will be accommodated with 40 on-site parking spots and approximately 30 off-site spots surrounding the library.

The building design is beautiful and will help make the 50th Ward a destination for bibliophiles from all over the city.
